Your Chance to Consign
How you make money
Go through your children's closet and find the FALL and WINTER clothes that are in great condition that your children have outgrown or no longer use. Select the clothes that you are willing to part with (sometimes this is the hard part!), and decide what you think their value is. We have found that most clothes in excellent condition may sell for up to 40% of their original retail price. Sellers will receive 70% of their asking price with the remaining 30% going to the Divine Consign Show. There is a $5.00 registration fee for all consignors that will be deducted from your check. Checks will be mailed out to the consigners within two weeks of the closing of the show. If you consign at least 10 items, you DO NOT have to volunteer for a shift. The key to a very successful sale is for everyone to spread the word, either by email, by postcards provided by DCS, or by word of mouth. The more people that sell, the bigger the show. Also, be sure to tell all of your friends to come and shop. Many folks may not be interested in selling now, but they may still love to shop. All consignors with 10 or more items or those who volunteer for a four hour shift are invited to a PREVIEW SHOW the night before the show. They get the first pick of all the great clothing!

What we will accept
We will accept all fine children's clothing including, but not limited to: Orient Expressed, The Plantation Shop, Ragsland, Kelly's Kids, Feltman Brothers, Castles and Crowns, Beaux et Belles, Two Friends, Just Duckie, Rosalina, Baby Lulu, etc. There are hundreds of wonderful brands that we accept, and there is no way to list them all! If you have a brand that you are not sure if we accept or not, please email divineconsignshow@yahoo.com, and we will help you out. We also welcome finer handmade clothing. It is very important that your clothes are free of rips, stains, fuzz balls, and visible signs of wear. What makes The Divine Consign Show successful is the quality of the clothing. By having a higher level of clothing, everyone has a better show experience. Those shopping will know that they will not have to "dig" for the good stuff, and the consignors will know that their clothes will be appreciated for their quality. It is a "win-win" deal.

Preparing for the sale
1) Click on the page of the show where you would like to consign (Atlanta, Raleigh, or Charlotte). At the bottom of the page you will find a link to register as a consignor. Once you have registered and received your seller number, you will be able to use this site to print your tags. 2) Place clean, pressed clothing on hangers with the open mouth facing left (see illustration). Make sure you button all the buttons, snap the snaps, zip the zippers, and tie the bows. Just remember PRESENTATION SELLS. 3) Secure pants and accessories to the hanger with safety pins. 4) Fill out the tag information, including your seller number, the item number, the description, the size, the price, and whether or not it will be offered for half-price on Saturday (see pricing information). Be sure to use traditional sizes on your tags (3m, 6m, 9m, 12m, 18m, 2T, etc). If the size is a range (ie. 6- 9m), please label it in the smaller category. If the size is in an unconventional form(S, M, L), please use your wise mother judgment to place it in the more traditional size. Attach the tag with a safety pin to the upper left hand corner (if you are LOOKING at the garment of the garment (see illustration), or you may pin it to the tag in the collar or waistband. 5) When ready to print your tags, please remember to print them on a pastel colored cardstock paper. 6) To make your check-in easier, please presort your clothing by gender and size. 8) Bring a self-addressed stamped standard envelope to the DCS when you drop-off your clothing. This will be used to mail your check within two weeks. If you forget your enveleope, a $1.00 fee will be deducted from your check. Please remember that your registration fee will also be deducted from your check. (9) The Divine Consign Show is not responsible for any mistagged items.

Pricing your items
Each seller is to set her own selling prices. We ask that all prices be in whole dollar increments. The Divine Consign Show has discovered that many items in excellent condition sell for up to 1/4 to 1/2 of their original retail price. Some items with original tags have sold for up to 2/3 of the original price. On Saturday the consignor has the option to reduce her clothing to half price. You may choose to reduce the prices on some or all of your items. It is up to you. When pricing, be sure to ask yourself what you would be willing to pay for the item. That is usually the best way to price.

All unsold items will need to be picked up on the afternoon of the sale, or they will become the property of the DCS. NO EXCEPTIONS!
